PrismHR setup

PrismHR connects through the unified HRIS connector. This page covers the PrismHR-side configuration you complete first. Once it's done, add the connector in Mesh by following Connect your HR system.

You finish with two things:

Value	Where it comes from
Subdomain	The host portion of your API URL
Web service user	Created under System Parameters

Before you start

You need administrator permissions in your company's PrismHR instance, or a colleague who has them. Confirm your API URL with your system administrator before you begin — it varies by how PrismHR is hosted for you.

Third-party product

These steps reflect Axiad's current understanding of PrismHR's configuration. Because PrismHR is a third-party product, there may be variations between your experience and what this guide describes, depending on the version in use and recent updates.

If you find a significant difference, or anything that doesn't make sense, let us know through Axiad support.

Step 1 — Find your subdomain

Your subdomain is the first label of your API URL, not the whole host:

Step 2 — Create a web service user

1. From the Back Office menu, go to System → Change → System Parameters.

2. In the Actions menu at the top right, select Web Service Users.

   If Web Service Users isn't listed

   API access is not enabled on your account. Contact your PrismHR account manager to have it turned on — the connector cannot be set up until it is.

3. Create the web service user and note its credentials.

Step 3 — Connect in Mesh

Follow Connect your HR system, choose PrismHR in the connection window, and supply your subdomain and the web service user's credentials.

After connecting

The connector appears in your connectors list with Health: Initializing while the first collection runs, then moves to Good. Access is read-only: Mesh does not write back to PrismHR.

Troubleshooting

What you see	Likely cause	Fix
